Two dead as small plane crashes in U.S east coast.

  • The plane belonged to Ben and Bonnie Krupinski of East Hampton, who were on board when the the Piper PA31Navajo aircraft went down
  • Ben Krupinski has built homes in the area for Martha Stewart, Billy Joel and more
  • It is not yet know if there are any survivors from the four people who were known to be on board the aircraft, as two remain missing at this time
  • The crash occurred just before 3.00pm Eastern on Saturday, at around 2.50pm
  • A search and rescue mission is underway, according to police on the scene
  • Beaches from East Hampton Main Beach to Indian Wells Beach have been closed
Two people are dead and two are missing after a plane carrying a mega-mansion builder and his wife along with two others crashed off the coast of the Hamptons.
Ben Krupinski, who has built and renovated homes for the likes of Martha Stewart and Billy Joel, and his wife Bonnie were on the private aircraft when it went down off Indian Wells Beach in Amagansett on Saturday afternoon.
The married couple, who are popular among residents of the affluent New York summer destination, were in a Piper PA31 Navajo aircraft when it crashed, according to 27 East, a local Hamptons news source.
The aircraft was about one mile away from the airport when it lost contact with the East Hampton Tower, the East Hampton Police Department said
