Tatler, a British magazine founded in 1709 has published it's Top Ten list of social climbers for 2019.
In first place is HRH (Her Royal Highness), the Duchess of Sussex, Rachel Meghan Markle.
Originally from Los Angeles, Meghan is the daughter of Thomas Markle, a TV Lighting Director and Doria Ragland, a Yoga teacher.
Meghan initially tried to land a leading role in Hollywood films, but unable to do so, finally got relative fame
as Rachel Zane in a cable TV drama titled " Suits ", after moving to Toronto, Canada.
Her big break came in 2016 when she met Prince Harry of the UK Royal Family.
The rest is history, a white dress wedding in May 2019,(apparently she is twice divorced), giving birth to a boy called Archie ( whom she always covers in a blanket a la Michael Jackson ), and a passion for private jet flights.
